Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Sudan in Japan.

Sudan has been implementing political and economic reforms to create a multiparty parliamentary democracy and a free economy.

In particular a ten years strategic plan has been introduced to revive the economy , The plan of the free market economy have succeeded in putting our economy back on track. In other words, the gross domestic product (GDP) has maintained a minimal annual growth rate of 6% and there has also been a sharp downturn in inflation and unemployment rate.

The production of oil has particularly been effective in changing the structural base of the economy. The recovery of the Sudan economy has been evaluated highly within the international community as shown with the good relations our country has with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank as well as other international financial organizations.

Sudan hopes to boost its good relations with the global community including Japan.

This exhibition called “the Entrance to Sudan” has been created in this pavilion at the Aichi Exposition. By passing through the Gate you will enjoy visiting the grand Nile River, the many pyramids of Sudan as well as the African world.
